    North Carolina has about 2,000 Civil War pardon applications on file at the NC State Archives.  The files are arranged first by county and then alphabetically by the applicants last name.  The files contain correspondence, affidavits, certifications, etc. relating to the individual petitioner and his reason for the application.  This book is an index of individuals and places that have been taken from these documents.  No effort was made by the author to correct spelling.  Soft cover, 76 pages including index.
    This book comes from a private collection.  Book shows little wear, soiling, or fading from age and use.  The interior is in very good condition with no apparent markings.  Binding is tight and intact.  This is a USED book and sold AS IS.
