Description

These Japanese Geisha collector's plates are four of a series produced by the Katsuzan Kilns in 1989-1990.  They depict lovely Geisha ladies in different poses demonstrating their special talents.  One lady plays the flute while another holds a fan.  The third is pictured with a butterfly and the fourth sits below a flowering cherry tree.  They each have their own color palate and have a the same border finished in different colors.
The plates have a generous diameter of 8-1/2".  They are clean and have no chips, cracks or hairlines.  It is noted on the reverse that they contain metal pigments and are for display only, not for food use.
