Unusual painting of a Ukai fisherman in traditional garb using cormorants and a fire lantern beacon.
Don't know in what area or what age this Japanese porcelain plate was produced, could not find the kanji meaning on back to figure out.
Probably mid or late 20th century for the tourist trade. LMK if you have an idea out of curiosity.
No cracks, crazing, or chips. Glaze is shiny. Some minor wear to the gold along the rim.
Measures 10 ½" diameter and 1" high.
