Description
GETTYSBURG LINCOLN TRAIN STATION VARIOUS LATE 1800s & EARLY 1900s PAPER PIECES INCLUDING TELEGRAPH PARTS, FIRST CLASS TRAIN TICKET, REPORT, STATION LOG.Mix of late 1800's (likely the telegraph & log) & early 1900's (likely train) - again a mix where these are pieces -

all originally from station.
Sometimes in frequent fires of the 1800's & earlier pieces flew freely and if people of the time were lucky or unknowingly wise enough to keep some - for use or whatever reason, entire newspapers they can be seen coated sometimes in attics, basements, closets - areas not covered, or uncovered. These were supposed to have been collected with others by family in the general area of Gettysburg, some particularly after a fire at the station, which can be seen in some singe marks on the edge of one of the pieces -

Train station where Abraham Lincoln arrived in November during Civil War to give Gettysburg Address following Day, and from where soldiers and their families left/arrived after the battle before that.
