This is a rare, vintage original poster produced in 1981 which originates from the estate of Andy Warhol. This poster promoted a joint exhibition between Warhol and famed sports artist, LeRoy Neiman, at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. In 1977 Warhol was commissioned to paint a series of portraits of athletes including a silkscreen painting of the famed jockey, Willie Shoemaker who is featured here with his riding hat. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a vintage poster directly from Warhol’s own personal collection. Proceeds directly benefit the non-profit charitable organization he founded.

The Andy Warhol Foundation was established in 1987 in accordance with Andy Warhol's will for the advancement of the visual arts.
