    Description

Epic 2003 Toyota Sequoia Limited, highly upgraded and dealer maintained, southern vehicle, no rust. Clean Carfax, no accidents (will provide it to
    interested
buyers upon request). Clean and clear Alabama title in hand, in my name. 274k miles. Private sale.
Smoke free, no kids. Very clean interior, free of stains. Water does not leak to the inside when it's raining. No funny smells.
This is my 10th vehicle from the Toyota/Lexus family and the best so far. I've owned a 2015 LX (Land Cruiser), a 2016 4Runner and a 2020 Lexus GX yet I’ve been more fond of the Sequoia platform in great part due to the incredible cargo room, seat comfort, handling and torque.
This truck has gotten more attention and compliments than any vehicle I’ve owned. I bought it in AZ in 2019 with 226k miles, completely stock. Mileage was not a primary concern since the drivetrain in these trucks is legendary for reliability. I wanted one with no rust and no accidents, knowing I would revive it and transform it. The project went beyond what was initially planned as I was blessed to find the
    right
people for the job. Well worth it, this truck looks incredible and drives even better. It has a lot of new parts, either OEM or upgrades. There are no leaks, it drives straight as an arrow, provides safety and comfort in spades, with superb on and off-road manners.
    Installed options from the factory
    - leather seats, cruise control, heated seats, electric seats, electric mirrors which also fold in, power windows, power seats, power locks, sunroof,
    driver
and passenger airbags, side airbags, A/C front and back
with separate controls, anti-lock brakes. Driver side mirror folds in manual mode only. Never used sunroof, not sure if it works.
    - 10 cup holders: 4 in the front (2 come out of the dash, 2 are in the center console), 2 in the
    second
row area (next to the A/C controls), 4 in the 3rd row seat area
    which is now the trunk.
    - can sit 8: 2 in the front, 3 in the middle, 3 in the back. I no longer have the third row seat, occasionally there are some that come up for sale on eBay. With the middle row folded against the front seats, a 6 ft
    individual
can sleep in the back, it is that long.
    - Solid rear axle.
    - V8 4.7 liter engine, known as the million miles engine.
    - 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive
    - 2WD, 4WD high, 4WD low, center diff lock. Transfer case shifter is manual, like in the 4Runner.
Gas mileage: 12.5-15.5. Quite a feat considering the truck weighs 6k lbs with all the upgrades (fyi, a similarly upgraded 4Runner yields the same gas mileage or worse with much less power and torque).
    The
    maintenance
and upgrades have all been done in the last 47k miles since I've owned the truck.
I have a stack of paperwork on all the stuff mentioned below.
All work was done professionally and some of it is still under warranty with Toyota or Best Buy (detailed below). All my vehicles are being kept up to date on maintenance, regardless of how long I keep them. Maintenance or upgrades, I don't do cheap just to check a box. Buy once cry once is how I look at it. It's also a safety issue.
    New parts and maintenance
Everything is OEM, 90% done at the dealer.
    - valve cover gasket replaced
    - lower oil pan resealed.
Truck does not burn any oil. Zero leaks
    - replaced timing belt, water pump, tensioner, pulleys, idler (at 227k miles)
    - replaced spark plugs
    - replaced PCV valve
    - replaced lower control arms and CV axles
    - replaced master cylinder and break booster (these are still under warranty with Toyota)
    - replaced steering rack and steering hoses
    - replaced serpentine belt
    - replaced drive shaft U joints
    - replaced tailgate window motor
    - replaced floor mats
    - replaced rearview mirror
    - all fluids were replaced: transmission, transfer case, power steering, breaks (lines were flushed as well), radiator.
    - the hoses that were stiff were replaced
    - replaced driver
    seat
motor (when seat was put back in, it was torqued to Toyota specs, very important for safety reasons). Left sag in the driver seat has been addressed. Longest drive in this truck was about 50 hours and my back/legs/butt did not hurt or go numb. As far as I'm concerned, the seat comfort in this truck is on par with the the Mercedes S class and the older Lexus LS.
    - replaced a few interior trim/plastic pieces that were worn out or cracked
    -
    alignment
    done as needed
    - A/C was topped off shortly after I got it. This
truck can freeze you in triple digit heat.
    - Amsoil 25k miles fully synthetic engine oil, replaced every 5k-10k miles
    - Amsoil 0.2 micron 15k miles engine oil filter, replaced every 5k-10k miles. 2 MagSafe magnets installed on the oil filter
    - TRD pro Aluminum radiator cap
    - TRD pro Aluminum engine oil cap
    Upgrades and mods
    - 3” lift tuned for the Sequoia from ToyTec Lifts. The front has the heavy duty springs to account for the heavy bumper and winch (350 lbs). Lift Includes
    - diff drop
    - adjustable SPC upper control arms
    - front and rear springs from ARB (Old Man Emu)
    - front shocks with extended travel (Bilstein)
    - rear shocks (Bilstein) with reservoirs for super long travel. Reservoirs are not mounted in the wheel wells to allow for maximum shock travel. They are placed behind the rock sliders.
    - upgraded battery - Optima yellow.
    - custom battery bracket, welded to the body
(Alternator is sufficient with the current load
from the upgraded stereo and lights, otherwise I would have upgraded it. During a cross country road trip I ran a fridge for days with no issues)
    - diff breather installed on the rear diff to prevent water from going in.
    - Airaid cold air intake
    - full LED conversion in and out, except brakes, reverse lights and dash.
    - 7 USB ports in the front
    - PIAA lights (made in Japan) in the bumper and on the hood. The light bar came with the bumper. The roof lights are made in Taiwan, they are spot lights (20000 lumens in the front, 10000 lumens in the back).
    - custom steel rock sliders with side steps, DOM steel, welded to the frame. Added safety on and off road. Completely
    custom
design, done in house and installed at Hunter Off-Road in Mesa, AZ. The owner is a master metal fabricator and a long time
    off-roader.
    - Iron Bull 3/16” solid steel front bumper with bed-liner, USA made. It is attached to the truck using frame bolts. It was a massive job that took about 8 hours with as many as 3 guys working at one time on it.
    - Billet 4x4 1 inch Mega D-Shackles, Patriot Red, North American Made, epoxy finish, 19000 lbs working load limit, 95000 lbs ultimate
    strength
    - Warn Platinum 12000 lbs winch, made in the USA, steel rope, wireless remote. Comes with a Factor 55 winch hook and a rope guard. Winch is housed inside the bumper. Winch controller is under the hood.
    - Gobi Stealth roof rack, USA made, with ladder and wind deflector, can accommodate a full size roof tent
    - custom rear steel bumper with swing out tire carrier, designed in house and installed by Lex OffRoad in  Mesa, AZ. There is no other Sequoia anywhere that has this bumper as this was a totally custom project they agreed to do for me. They knocked it out of the park. The light to the left of the bumper turns on when in reverse.
    Leds
    in it are quite strong.
Carhartt covers on front seats. Wind deflectors. Lazy elbow comfort pads installed on front doors. Drop Stop (original car seat gap filler) installed on both front seats.
JBA performance exhaust headers, ceramic coated and Mandrel bent (means the headers are the same
diameter throughout, including the bends, to allow exhaust gases to flow unobstructed).
    Magnaflow exhaust
    Magnaflow cats
Truck has the vibe of an American muscle car when accelerating. It was a nice surprise, no one expected that. At idle, it has a nice, low rumble. Exhaust work was done at Apache Muffler in Mesa, AZ. They’ve been around for over 50 years and are very reputable. Z
    ero
    exhaust leak.
    - 5 Black Rhino rims, 17” - not true bead-lockers, just looking like they are. No wheel spacers.
    - 5 Nitto RidgeGrapples tires, 295-70-17 (just under 34”), 12/32 thread left (about 60%), 10 ply tires. Some rubbing at full lock. Spare tire and rim were never used.
    Tires
were purchased at Discount Tire, they provide free rotation for the life of the tires.
    - spare tire cover
    - PowerStop drilled rotors, red
    calipers
and upgraded break pads on all 4 wheels. Killer look with the black rims.
    Upgraded radio antenna
7 USB ports in the front
    Bedliner on fender flares
    Windshield was replaced.
High end tint called Formula 1 Stratos, blocks 80% of the heat
(installed on the windshield and sunroof as well). The tint is polarized. It was a 00 upgrade. The same film was installed on the headlights. Tint lets light in as follows: 5% in the back, 35% on the driver and passenger side, 90% on the windshield, 50% on the sunroof. Headlights clear.
    - Husky rubber floor mats
    - custom dash mat
    - Viper alarm system with remote start, siren, hood open sensor, tilt sensor and remote with display that lights up, housed in a leather case. Manufacturer claims over 1 mile radius, have not tested it that far. It did work from the back of a large store to start the truck up while parked all the way in the back of the parking lot. Alarm system is under warranty with Best Buy.
    - wireless light controller for all the lights. The controller sits on a magnetic plate next to the controls for the sunroof. The remote for the lights can be taken out when away from the vehicle. Let’s say you’re over-landing and you decide to camp somewhere and go hiking. On the way back to the truck, you can remote start it and then turn on all the lights. Cool safety feature. Manufacturer claims over 1 mile radius to activate lights.
Tire pressure and temperature monitoring system that can be setup to alert if any tire drops below a certain pressure or goes above a certain temp. System is wireless, sensors are water proof. It has a display that automatically lights up at night. It is powered by a solar panel or it can be connected to a USB port.
Pioneer 7” touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (in wired mode). No subscription needed, just hook up your phone to it and you’re good to go. Audio controls on the steering wheel have been connected to the upgraded stereo, including the Ask Siri function on the iPhone. R
eplaced all stock speakers with Alpine speakers and replaced insulation around speakers. Kicker 10” sub with dedicated amplifier and thick gauge wires. The wire to the subwoofer is longer on purpose so it can be moved around if you need the trunk area emptied out. Stock amplifier was also upgraded to better drive the door speakers. Audio upgrades are under warranty with Best Buy.
    Truck has 6 cameras:
    - backup camera activated when setting truck in reverse (can also be engaged manually on the Pioneer screen so you can see the idiot that is tailgating you and watch as he crashes into the steel bumper). Rear camera displays on the Pioneer screen.
    - front camera (engages by pressing a button on the dash)
    - side cameras on the side mirrors (they engage when turning on the flashing indicator - left camera turns on when flashing left, right one when flashing right).
Side cameras are adjustable, they can point straight back when on road to see vehicles in the blind spot or down when off road to see how far you are from the side of the trail. The side cameras and the front one display on a 5” display mounted on the A pillar on the driver side, secured by a Ram mount. One camera at a time so you get the full 5”.
    -
2 NextGen dash cameras (front and back) with continuous loop recording to a flash card (under warranty as well).
The audio and light installs were done professionally at Best Buy by a great team of guys. Not a regular install that any Best Buy can do, one of the guys was highly skilled and owned a Toyota as well so he could do something totally out of the box.
    - Tow hitch: Weigh Safe SWS6-2-KA Steel Adjustable 6" drop with stainless steel balls for 2" receiver - 12,500 GTW
Truck takes 87 octane gas. I only use top tier gas stations and also use a gasoline additive from Amsoil called Upper Cylinder Lubricant that goes a long way in mitigating the negative effects of ethanol on the engine.
The vast majority of the maintenance was done at a large Toyota dealer in southern Arizona. The tech who worked on it has 25 yrs of experience with the company and is also an off-roader. He also installed the lift, front bumper and winch, performance headers, cold air intake and the roof rack. He is
    the
best tech I have ever worked with on any vehicle.
In many respects, this is better than a new truck. Toyota just made these even more valuable by discontinuing their V8 engines.
Truck comes with 3 keys, 2 viper remotes, a few high end oil filters, a privacy screen for the windshield and the tow hitch shown in the pics.
I probably forgot some stuff, will update the ad if needed. Truck needs nothing, I would drive to the ends of the Earth and back
. Paint is original and has held up remarkably well. No dents in the metal. A few paint chips and blemishes.
No financing available. If you need it, Lightstream offers vehicle financing without keeping the title.
If your state charges sales or use tax on private party vehicle sales, do not ask me to sign a bill of sale to show a different amount than what you buy the vehicle for.
If you're flying in to pick it up, we can meet up in Tallahassee, FL.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
