    Description

RARE AND INTERESTING GENEALOGY AND SOCIOLOGY STUDY ON A SMALL VILLAGE IN "EAST PAKISTAN" (now called Bangladesh) ca 1964.
Fully titled, Village Dhanishwar : Three Generations of Man-Land Adjustment in an East Pakistan Village.  Authored by S.A. Qadir.  Published by the Pakistan Academy for Rural Development, Camilla, East Pakistan.  In the 1960s, East Pakistan separated from the Pakistan separated countries of East Pakistan and West Pakistan, and became Bangladesh, with West Pakistan renamed to just Pakistan.  First published in 1960, this is a 1964 reprint.
The book is in  GOOD OR BETTER CONDITION.  The main issue is some light soiling of the covers, an "Office File Copy" stamp, and a previous owner name on front cover.  35 clean and solidly bound pages, with some tables, figures, maps, and a family tree.  The foldout family tree does have some tears in the creases, but remains intact - see listing photo.
The listing photos show the Table of Contents, and as can be seen the topics show an interesting wealth of family history, rural life, agricultural practices, and people's opinions and attitudes over time.
    INTERESTING.
